ALL THE BOARDS

Joyride Fuego

The Fuego was the first capped board from Joyride.

Categories: ,

Joyride was a brand that was actually started by Matt Cummins and Kris Jamioson when they thought GNU was dead and they needed to find a new board sponsor.  So they made up Joyride.  But once they found out that Mervin was going to launch Lib Tech they ditched the whole Joyride gig and gave the idea to some people in Oregon that were able to fund the company.

The Fuego was built in the Thermal factory in Southern California and was a new capped construction for the brand.   This factory later got bought by RIDE. The quick kick nose and tail and wide stance was huge in the early 90’s as skateboard’s street skate scene was reflected in the jib generation.  Some boards were still made in a different factory but demand was huge and companies like Joyride couldn’t make boards fast enough to meet demand.
