Burton was starting to become a real company and in 1984 the Performer was the top of the line snowboard for the brand. Each one hand serial numbered by a small group of Jake and his workers. Featuring the rope on the nose which was typically removed and the rubber strap bindings this was high-end tech snowboard stuff. And lets not forget the metal skegs that people remake and sell as original.
The brand has contributed a lot over the years to the sport of snowboarding since Jake rode that first prototype. You know you love burton.com, we sure do.
